This program brought together different ethnic groups within the community, exploring the importance of taking responsibility in the community and encouraging and celebrating people (community champions) who have contributed in different ways to the community.
Exploring the importance of taking responsibility is important as it provides individuals with a sense of purpose and an obligation to cooperate with individuals and organisations to work towards the benefit of the community. Promoting and celebrating community champions on the other hand is a way of rewarding the efforts of community members and encouraging them to keep up the good work and for others to learn from them.
